As we are getting ready to move to NYC, I am trying to learn some good money-saving techniques. I would love to hear advice or grand ideas that any of you might have. Please, feel free to share!

Funny story...I'm trying really hard to be wise in my spending so, last week I gave myself a hair cut. Well, Daniel helped. He trimmed the bottom for me, and I did some layering. :) Saved $20!
1. Use your sister Kelly as a free baby sitter every time you need to go out somewhere. 2. Sign Ian up to be a model for Ralph Lauren's new line of baby clothes. 3. Sell one of your kids to your sister Kelly.
...this is all I have for now. Will get back to you with more tips as they come to me...
Do not go shopping! Do not go to Wal-Mart or Target. OK, I know you have to shop, but, really, the fewer times you go into the store, the less you will spend.
So excited to hear that you are on your way to NYC! I don't personally have a lot of advice for saving money in a high cost of living area, but one of my favorite blogs moneysavingmom.com has a video series, "31 days to a better grocery budget" that is very helpful. :)
