From Yonkers back to Brooklyn

“…But God gave the increase.” There were about 9 decisions at VBS last week and 8 in the teen WAR! We had a great week in Yonkers working with Hudson View Baptist Church! The NYSET team was busy throughout the week in the parks inviting teens out to the War, passing out tracts and witnessing in the neighborhoods. We passed out over 1,200 flyers, 1,000 tracts and a few hundred John and Romans. We were so excited to hear from a missionary that we met on deputation who is in Peru this summer. He got our update last week and emailed us on Friday to tell us that he was praying for the WAR. That was such a blessing and we really saw God do a great work. About 45 teens showed up and 8 got saved! Please pray for HVBC as they follow-up on these children and teens, as well as prepare for another teen war on August 13th!

We are working with Memorial Baptist Church in Brooklyn this week (July 18th-23rd). Yesterday was the first night of their Summer Adventure Club. The attendance was small, so we are praying for many more children. Please pray with us for this Park Slope neighborhood in Brooklyn. There is a great disinterest in spiritual things here. One example was on Sunday when Daniel was out with a group handing out tracts, and a man who told him that he should be ashamed of himself for having children hand out tracts! “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ!” We were reminded this week from Pastor Christopher that “unless God does it, it doesn’t get done!”

Thank you so much for praying for us! We are so excited to be serving the Lord!
