Fall Update

We are continually amazed at God’s goodness to us! We are also praising the Lord for a wonderful summer in New York City. It is incredible to us that God would choose to use us in His service despite our weaknesses!

We had the privilege of ministering in New York for 8 weeks this summer! Each week we helped out a different church. We worked in Queens, Brooklyn, Yonkers, and Long Island: helping with various work projects, Vacation Bible Schools and evangelistic outreaches. Our main goal was to truly be an encouragement to the pastors and church families!

It was thrilling to be able to spend a whole summer in the exact place God has called us! God once again confirmed in our hearts that His perfect will for us is in NYC! We made so many friends that we had to leave there, and saw so many great needs that we really wanted to stay! Even though it was hard to leave when our time in New York was over, we are SO excited to return once we raise our support to stay there permanently. We are grateful for a good deputation schedule for this fall! Although we know that the economy is making it hard for churches to take on new missionaries, we are confident that God will provide in His perfect timing. And, we are excited to see Him do what seems like “the impossible!” We know that God has many more lessons in store for us during our deputation time.

Please pray with us as we schedule meetings for 2010 and try to fill up some empty slots for this fall. Also, pray for our ministry at our home church, Souls Harbor Baptist Church in Milwaukee. We work with the teens and music ministries, and Daniel is working at the church three days a week. We greatly desire to be used by God while we are here in Wisconsin, preparing to go back to New York City!

“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”

For the millions of souls in New York City,

The Daniel Klaus Family
